TASK
This assignment formed an integral part of my coursework, focusing on the creation of an interactive screen. For this project, I seamlessly integrated it with a previous endeavor, wherein I conceptualised a hypothetical collaboration with the British Heart Foundation as my client. The goal was to craft an informative platform that guides users through the process of performing CPR. This instructional experience was achieved through the combination of textual information and motion-based feedback.
The task included in-depth research to lay a strong foundation and branding aspects, to align the interactive screen's design with the British Heart Foundation's visual identity. The final of the project was to design both the virtual interface and the physical screen, ensuring aesthetics and functionality.
METHODOLOGY
I began by conducting extensive research on the British Heart Foundation and CPR. This research provided valuable insights into the organisation’s mission and goals, as well as the best practices for teaching CPR effectively.
Next, I utilised the information gathered during my research to create detailed user personas and site maps. I also studied current UX/UI design trends and developed sketches and mockups to refine the project’s design. By carefully planning and designing the interactive screen, I ensured that it was intuitive, user-friendly, and visually engaging.
If this project was to be taken past the planning and initial designs I would’ve worked closely with the British Heart Foundation team to gather feedback and iterate on the design. This collaborative approach would ensure that the final product met the organisation’s needs and exceeded their expectations. Overall, if the project was a success, and it would have contributed to an important initiative.
REFLECTION
Given opportunity to improve this project I would have considered more extensive usability testing this would involve conducting testing to ensure that the interactive screen was easy to use and effective in teaching CPR. This would help me to gain valuable insights from users and improve the overall user experience. Another step for better results would include user feedback I would have reached out for feedback from users, stakeholders, and the British Heart Foundation team throughout the project. Gathering feedback early would help identify areas for improvement and ensure that the final product meets the needs of its users and stakeholders.
