REFLECTION
To consolidate my understanding of creating a 3D effect in images, I decided to explore this technique further by crafting my own composition.
I selected an image from a free stock website featuring a captivating scene of a man standing on the edge of a cliff overlooking a vast expanse of sea. The colors and picturesque view immediately caught my attention, and I envisioned the potential to create a stunning effect by animating the sea and the man on the cliff.
By using layers in Photoshop, I began manipulating the various elements of the photograph. I carefully moved each layer, simulating camera movements to generate the illusion of a video-like sequence. The sea could be transformed into a dynamic body of water, while the man on the cliff could appear to sway with the wind or take strides along the edge.
The process of animating the image not only provided a practical application of the 3D effect technique but also allowed me to further understand the power of visual storytelling. Through the simulated camera movements, I could evoke a sense of adventure, capturing the viewer's attention and immersing them in the scene.
Overall, this personal project served as a valuable opportunity to consolidate the skills I had acquired during the session. It allowed me to explore the creative possibilities of manipulating layers in Photoshop and reinforced my understanding of how these techniques can be employed to enhance the impact and storytelling capabilities of an image.
